Katherine Morin

Inspired by first hand experiences supporting loved ones, Katherine is driven to transform the mental health sector to ensure no family feels disconnected from a care practitioner in their journey of healing when transitioning between services and waiting on ever growing lists for specialized services. Born and raised in Ottawa, she chose to adventure out of the city to Peterborough Ontario where she earned her undergraduate degree in 2014 from Trent University in Political Science and Sociology. Following graduation, she began working with Peterborough Public Health as a Youth Development Worker, developing and implementing a number of health promotion campaigns in the central east region of Ontario. Currently she works in Ottawa as a Youth Capacity Developer with the Coalition of Community Health and Resource Centres and is working on transformational change for youth services including access to mental services, suicide prevention, and community capacity building for meaningful youth development and engagement. When she is not working she can be found testing a new Pinterest recipe or unplugged from technology camping with her partner and goofy black lab!
