The Ontario Centre of Excellence for Child and Youth Mental Health

At the Ontario Centre of Excellence for Child and Youth Mental Health (the Centre), we bring people and knowledge together to strengthen mental health care for Ontario’s children, youth and families. Our Centre builds connections, shares knowledge and draws upon our expertise in knowledge translation and exchange to enhance the skills of direct service providers to use evidence to produce positive outcomes for service users. We are an intermediary organization, collaborating with agency leaders and practitioners, and organizational/governmental decision-makers to support the implementation and evaluation of evidence-informed child and youth mental health practice. Our team represents a range of professional backgrounds (including psychology, social work, psychiatry, healthcare and communications), and provides coaching/consultation support in evaluation, implementation science, quality improvement, and youth and family engagement. We also mobilize relevant information and tools to enable agencies to use evidence to strengthen mental health outcomes for their clients.
